How does child swapping work? This is the first time we are bringing my grand daughter and she may not meet the height on some rides. Do we just wait in line and let someone know closer to getting on?

Wait in line, tell person at front door. They should ask to see the child. You will then be given a rider swap pass good for whoever is watching the child plus 2 extra to go through FP line. - CM_Shadowgamer   2563.2 #57 4-23-16 12:30PM Like(1)  Reply

I was wondering the same thing about my son. Do my husband and I both need a fast pass or just 1? And so if my son is asleep in his stroller we will be able to tell a CM at the entrance and not have to both go through the line to tell one right? - hendrixfamily   1.8 #0 4-23-16 7:03PM Like  Reply
Child has to wait outside with an adult.  You can roll the child up in the stroller to the CM at the entrance to the attraction.  As for the FP, really just one of you needs it if it's just the 2 of you and the child. - IDVandalSkipperCM  2531.0 #59 4-23-16 7:59PM

sometimes they have AP sales in the disney hotels,  but very limited.  some neighbor hotels give ap disc,  some do not.  mostly we get food and merch discounts.  but some special ap only events happen,  which is fun. - MsTikiMermadam   1239.0 #145 3-7-16 4:20PM Like(1)  Reply
Howsit!  I live on Maui and only go to the parks once a year. The APs are definitely the way to go if you're staying for any length of time.  As long as you go next year before they expire, you get 2 years for WAY less than the price of Park Hoppers for two visits (plus you get the discounts on all your food and souvenir purchases)!   We're going this year the first  two weeks of August (our passes expire the 3rd week). We'll now wait to buy new ones when we go next year (so we start the 2-yr cycle again). Which island do you live on? - msdizmaui   743.5 #266 3-7-16 4:10PM Like  Reply

My kids love all of the shows at fantasy faire. They're very well done and perfect for her age group. After the show wait to see of the princess(es) will come out for a photo opp/autograph. Sitting and watching a show is good downtime for the kids too. I guess you have to get fast passes for the shows now but if there's extra room they let the standby line in. Is being a annual pass holder worth it? What are the benefits. We live in Hawaii and come once a year and always buy the 5 days but we stay actually for 8 days normally going to other parks like knotts and universal but sometimes we wish  More...
A five day park hopper ticket is $315. An AP is $549. So if you come once a year, you can plan the first trip say the end of sept and then the next year plan it beginning of sept and it's cheaper to get the Ap than buy 2 5 day park hoppers. Make sense? That's how/why we decided to buy ours. We always go at Xmas time and go 4-5 days each time. So we plan the first trip in mid December and then plan the next year either early December or November. Then the pass is cheaper. If we do any other trips throughout the year we look at them 'free' (not really since we have to pay hotel and gas and food, but tickets are free). So yes, if you go 5 days each trip it is worth it. And then like you said, you can hit the parks in the evenings the other days you are there and back at your hotel. And yes, you get hotel discounts and food and merchandise too so that's nice getting a little back each time :) hope that helps!! - brodysmommy   433.4 #518 9-8-15 2:21PM Like(2)  Reply

Yes, discounts on hotels, merchandise, and restaurants. However, if you only come once or twice a year I think the 5 day ticket is better. Your mileage may vary. - dizneedude   1072.0 #177 9-8-15 1:50PM Like(1)  Reply
If I were you---I might consider getting the AP pass for you and hoppers for everyone else. I'm Canadian and I've had annual passes twice now and have still found them well worth having. Gives us an excuse to come down more often. We stayed at the HoJo for about a week in 2012. Pros: the water park! My kids could spend all day there. It is a doable walk. McD's nearby. Cons: rooms were older, hotel doesn't have too many amenities, walk is WAY longer than I'm willing to do now. In all, it's a decent hotel for the price, but there are better deals out there. I love staying at the hojo. My kiddo loves it. Little arcade room, a store with soda, snacks, souvenirs, and more inside. Two pools. One made for kids. It's themed. Then another for older kids and adults. Views of the parks. Rooms include a Keurig machine and fridge. Parking is easy. Walks to the parks are about 5 minutes. Not bad at all. They have annual pass and mw discounts as well. - LuvsTigger   1675.4 #105 6-2-15 8:13PM Like  Reply

How do RAK work. I see people say add me how do this works  More...
If you read the faqs the answers to most  of these questions are answered there. Also, read a few days of MW, it helps a lot in learning all the little unwritten things. RAKS are random acts of Kindness, started by DahulaGirl and are done in her honor since she sadly is no longer with us. (Though her love lives on) You RAK something you want to give to other MWers, post rules like they must be able to DM, answer a question, anything. Good to put end date. And pick a winner and send the gift.! - secretagentangel   5606.5 #23 5-27-15 11:42PM Like  Reply

How do I get the cool stickers. This is new to me
Stickers nights are Tuesdays. Admin releases a new (or sometimes old) sticker set and they are for sale with MW credits in the MW Store; which you can navigate to by using the three bars to get to the menu and choosing MW Store or using the Navigate button when in the lounge and choosing MW Store. Sometimes, like right now, there are still stickers left from sticker night. Once you have stickers you can go to your "My MW" and view your collection or choose to "Feature" the sticker so it shows up by your name. You can also add them to your posts and comments by clicking the "Stickers" button and choosing a sticker to use.Β MW Credits are accumulated from participation in the lounge and wait times or you can purchase them from the MW Store. - 1HitchhikingGhost   270.8 #1178 5-27-15 1:44PM Like(1)  Reply

If you click on "Disneyland" or "California Adventure" on the dashboard of this app, it takes you to the wait times for each park. The attractions' height requirements are also listed. for recording WoC, i would say the bridge by the blue section, just because the scale of the SO BIG, it gives you a good panoramic view with minimal obstructions without having to constantly pan your shot - DonaldMissingPants   304.1 #913 3-21-12 7:36PM Like(1)  Reply

My second child was 1 1/2 when we first brought him and he had a blast! My third was 17 days old her first trip, she's about to turn 3 in a couple months but she's been really actively enjoying her trips since she was about 1. I think some of it depends on the child. Mine started early. There is a lot for them to enjoy when they are little. - Autoalice   161.4 #2582 3-21-12 12:05PM Like  Reply

Where can I get those Mickey mouse rice krispie treats from. We had them complementary in our room 4 years ago and they were yummy
Marcelines in DTD also carries them. They have different variations like M&M and chocolate dipped.

Suggestion? Try out our amazing search feature! Search "food" and some reviews on restaurants and food can be found by other MWers that have posted.

The garlicky pomme frites at Cafe Orleans are delicious. At Hungry Bear, I like the fried green tomato sandwich and potato fries. At the Village Haus (pinnochio themed eatery in Fantasyland), I love their flat bread pizza! Waaaaay more flavor and better texture than anything at pizza port. - Polkadobo   384.7 #595 3-20-12 9:52PM Like  Reply

Hi Everyone. I am going to be in Disneyland for the Fourth of July anyone has tips on where is a good location to look at the fireworks and also for the World of Color as well. Thanks for any help
Not at the Main Street train station. There's a big thing called trees that ate in the way. Learned that last year with some MWers😜 - BaseballMickey   7854.3 #11 3-20-12 7:25PM Like  Reply

Hi. I am new at MW. We are going to Disneyland the week of the 4th of July next year. We are so excited and can't wait. Going to be staying at the Paradise Pier. I thought this was a cool app to download.
