We save by cooking at home and doing cheaper activities and finding things around the house to do, so we don't go out and spend. We only buy what we need vs. want. We already booked our trip for December on the DL website and put a deposit so we know how much to budget. We have a silly motto we go by...We love DL pickles, so we say "We have to save our pickle money!" and that seems to keep us on track. I have heard so many nightmere stories about this. If you buy off craigslist or eBay you are rolling the dice. And I certainly would never risk this if bringing children. I heard of a dad that got his tickets from craigslist and tried to get in with them, only to find out they were already used. He had to take his whole family back home with no Disney. Be careful!!! Now you might want to take a look at mousesavers.com. That site links you to a legitimate broker called Ares Travel that sells valid tickets and they give you a little break on the price. my dad sold the unused days on his 3 day park hopper last summer on CL, and I've sold holiday bowl tickets on CL before, so there are legit people. But it is risky because you have no way to know if they are valid or .
