Moms/Dads of princesses: How do you pack princess dresses? We are going to Disney World in December and I plan on taking at least 2, at least. πŸ˜‚ Thanks!

We have folded them up in her suitcase without an issue in the past.  Not sure about the Elsa dress though, it's pretty big.   - MermaidHunter   61.7 #4010 9-28-14 6:04PM Like  Reply
Did you have a problem with the glitter? Disney glitter goes everywhere!  - MamalovesMinnie  13.7 #7636 9-28-14 6:20PM
That's true, EVERYWHERE. Forgot to mention we do put them in plastic bags.  It only takes once to learn that trick.  And when we drive, we hang them, but was assuming you meant you were flying to WDW - MermaidHunter  61.7 #4010 9-28-14 6:56PM
Items wrinkle less if you roll them. Place in a bag if your worried about glitter. When you get there just hang in the bathroom and the steam from the shower should take care of any wrinkles. Enjoy.  - sewedna   319.9 #698 9-28-14 10:47PM Like  Reply

I saw that Christmas time at Disneyland begins November 13th and we are planning a visit November 11th and 12th. Figures. What I am curious about is what happens on the days just before the big changeover. Are the decorations up but the C  More...
In my experience, the fireworks were Xmas already but the parade doesn't start Until the official date. IASW has been open prior to the start date also but there may be times it isn't. I would wait to see what the calendar on Disney says for it to be official - brodysmommy   335.7 #625 9-13-14 3:15PM Like  Reply
And yes pretty much all the decorations are up since they have to do it every night. There may be new ones the night before hit for the most part they are all up. They usually tape the parade for Xmas day the weekend or 2 before so most of then need to be up for that - brodysmommy  335.7 #625 9-13-14 3:16PM
In not sure about IASW or the parade, but I'm pretty sure most of the decor is up a few days before (maybe just a few last minute touches missing), so you'll have the Christmassy feel.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar   529.5 #332 9-13-14 3:18PM Like  Reply
The transformation for Xmas time at the. Parks begins very early. The parks start being decorated for Xmas time starting in mid October...the back portions of the parks are decorated first and make their way towards the front...you will see snow on the castle before October is over and holiday merchandise in stores...after Halloween Time ends its a mad dash to place the final decor for the holidays in the front portions of the parks...you will see most holiday decor up before the official start of the holidays and the Xmas tree is put up too :-) IASM holiday version opens up as Xmas time in the parks officially begins :-) - uscdisneyteacher   7173.8 #5 9-13-14 3:21PM Like  Reply

Parents: Disney is magical at any and every age, but at what age would you say would be or have been the MOST magical for your kids? I'm writing something and looking into the argument over the golden age to take kids to Disneyland. Thank  More...
I think that the "golden" age is different for every kid.  In my opinion, the best time is when they are old enough to ride most rides without being too scared, yet young enough to still believe in all of the magical experiences that make Disney so special. - angelaprkns   10.2 #9008 8-21-14 4:53PM Like  Reply
By the way, at 34, I am still young enough to buy into, and believe in the magic! - angelaprkns  10.2 #9008 8-21-14 4:54PM
I can't wait until my kids can ride all the rides without fear! That will be a huge milestone! Right now they're 4 & 2 so we miss the big rides!  - MamalovesMinnie  13.7 #7636 8-21-14 4:56PM
I don't have kids of my own but when I saw my friends 5 year old  at the parks... It seemed to me like that is the golden age. - missmimi90   1390.4 #91 8-21-14 4:56PM Like  Reply
See, I also feel 5 is an awesome age. At around 6, children start distinguishing real from pretend. That has to be a sad day when you take your kids to disneyland and they have decided that characters aren't real. That will be worse for me than when they stop believing in Santa!  - MamalovesMinnie  13.7 #7636 8-21-14 5:00PM
My daughter is 9 and still believes!! - PrincessAuroraMomma  452.1 #410 8-21-14 6:24PM
I don't know if there truly is a magical age. I think every kid and every adult is different.  I think it all depends on the situation and the trip. I'm sure taking my granddaughter for her first trip will be very magical for me and my kids. But for her will probably be later on in life - grumpyinphx   60.2 #4049 8-22-14 8:19AM Like  Reply
