Canadian girl that loves all things Disney! I get to DL park every 2-3 years and am planning a trip in March 2012. Can't wait! Just being a part of MW is making the waiting a little easier :)
Question for you CMs... In March 2012 we flew down and bought 7 day passes. We are planning another trip next year but can't seem to find 7 day passes on the Disney website. Are they discontinued? Thanks!
We live in Canada and can only travel when the blackout periods are. Premium wouldn't make sense for our one trip :(. I would love to get there more often! - GoCanucks10 229.7 #1250 5-11-13 9:48PM
Understandable. Sometimes it works out better because of discounts and such but also depends on when you're traveling. Linzee offered a good suggestion with the park hoppers. - IDVandalSkipperCM 1299.2 #63 5-11-13 9:54PM
Couldn't you buy a 4 or 5 day and then a 2 or 3 day? They haven't been selling the 6 or 7 days dues to the people who share tickets. It would be worth a call to get a definitive answer. - Linzee519.0 #225 5-11-13 9:51PMLike Reply
It's pricey and not technically Downtown Disney but the buffet at the story Tellers Cafe (Grand Californian) is phenomenal! - halofan11.5 #6346 6-24-12 7:13AMLike(1) Reply
Not sure if it's still available, but a few years ago, we would get the croissant breakfast sandwich at the Jazz Kitchen. - ima-pirateswife432.4 #290 6-24-12 7:10AMLike Reply
From earlier today. Leaving tomorrow to go home. What a fantastic trip complete with every weather combination possible which made for great crowds. Bye Disneyland! See you in about 3 years!
Awwww. Glad you had a magical time. Kinda made me sad that you said "see you in three years" though. - VeloMouseGirl549.7 #204 3-19-12 10:28PMLike Reply

Two weeks until our Disney vacation! For all you locals, what is the best beach for us to visit with two kids on our Disney-off days? We will have a rental car :)
I've heard Laguna Beach is really nice :) but being in ca our water is really cold. - SkellyMouse501.3 #240 2-25-12 10:17AMLike(1) Reply

I live in Vancouver .... Same ocean but waaaay north :). Anything will be warmer!!! What about Huntington Beach? - GoCanucks10 229.7 #1250 2-25-12 12:23PM
when i lived in cali laguna beach was always my favorite even though i lived less than a mile away from the ocean, we'd travel about 30-40 minutes sometimes to go there! it's very pretty and very well kept up! - kritomiester328.3 #484 2-25-12 10:18AMLike Reply
Read online about Crystal Cove (between Newport and Laguna beach). Also read about Dana Point. I think both of these places are charming because they are not your typical beach excursion. But I love them for that reason! - LishaBear5.9 #9182 2-25-12 12:45PMLike Reply
I work at a lot of events at beaches and my favorite has to be Dana point. It's really nice!! - ladylikesdisney925.0 #94 2-25-12 12:50PMLike Reply

I'm thinking of buying my daughter a Disney gift card for her birthday to spend on our upcoming trip to DL. On the website it says that they can be spent at participating locations in the park. Does anyone know what this means?? Where ca More...
I may be wrong, but it works everywhere INSIDE the park. In DTD though, most places won't work. D Street accepts them for sure though. - JediDug285.0 #705 2-2-12 6:47PMLike Reply
How about Disney Dollars? - DizGeek453.3 #272 2-2-12 6:47PMLike Reply
Not sure if they can be ordered before hand. And they are probably the same as gift cards as far as usage. - DizGeek453.3 #272 2-2-12 6:55PMLike Reply
Some of the food carts used to not take gift cards...but the last time I was there was last May so not positive if its still that way - yellowtonka237.7 #1138 2-2-12 7:23PMLike Reply
Just wondering what everyone would do first once the gates opened at DCA to avoid the crowds. We will have a 4 and 8 year old with us. Any tips would be appreciated!
most people head towards the paradise pier area first. Try starting off at the backlot or bugsland area :) - MayBie1864.2 #40 1-15-12 7:50AMLike Reply
Absolutely right. Bugsland, Monsters Inc. I would get Fast passes for Soaring right away though if you are considering going on later in the day. - lostboy20 25.3 #4656 1-15-12 8:00AM
Left out Soarin Over California in the first sentence. It's still early ........ - grumpypapa550.6 #202 1-15-12 8:01AMLike Reply
I would get fast pass for Goofy or ToT -- then head over to Toy Story before those lines get crazy long. Have a great time! - rdaann274.4 #792 1-15-12 8:11AMLike Reply
Getting out the old VHS Disney movies to show the kids! Hope to get them just as excited for the classic rides as they will be to see Lightning and Mater! Guess I'm dating myself that I still have a VCR! :)
I just did this last week. Pulled out the old vcr. My grandkids wish they could have experienced the rocket rods - topdisneymom239.7 #1119 11-26-11 12:47PMLike(1) Reply
Good luck to you too romec! I'll be watching :). I bet there'll be a bunch of crazy Vancouverites invading your town (it's almost cheaper to fly to an away game then go to a game here)! - GoCanucks10229.7 #1250 11-26-11 1:02PMLike Reply
I love our clam shell VHS Disney movies, and we have a DVD/VCR combo machine!!! It rocks! ;) - kimluvsdisney120.4 #2737 11-26-11 1:38PMLike Reply

When I took MissBug out of school right after roll. We got to the car and I had a stuffed critter for her, she thought we were going to the dentist. Then she opened her package from Miss Dahula. It was awesome!! - JenAnneWho300.7 #611 11-21-11 7:52AMLike(1) Reply
The best surprise for my family was one I wasn't even alive for, but it's told enough by my family lol. My sister was in second grade and my dad had a convention to go to at Walt Disney World. My mom surprised my sister with it, saying that she as well as my sister were going to go. My sister was SO concerned about missing school that she cried she didn't want to go. So she didn't! and my family has never been able to go back there (we are loyal to DL I guess lol). - KylaShea533.2 #215 11-21-11 8:08AMLike Reply
