My boyfriend has never been to Disneyland and says he never wants to go. We have a 3 year old son who has been twice and loves it. I am trying to find a way to convince him to give it a try and if he says he doesn't like it after that the More...
Leave him.... Of course I'm kidding. I personally haven't had this issue. My hubby indulges my DL love, and he has a great time, because I love it so much. I'm like a kid and he just gets a kick out my silliness and enjoys seeing me happy. Hopefully your bf will want to share the experience of DL through his child's eyes. Ask him if he is willing to look at it as a family event, rather than going somewhere he's not too fond of. You can't make someone love what they don't. So as much as it bums you out, you might have to resign to the fact that you'll have to go to DL with friends. Which is perfectly fine. 😊😊 - DisneyFanZoe1096.7 #75 3-12-12 9:50AMLike(7) Reply
What are his reasons for not wanting to go? If it's because of crowds and lines maybe you can convince him to go on a less busy day like mid-week in the offseason. I think you'd need to know exactly what his objections are to try to convince him. - Mimmy1405.4 #57 3-12-12 9:47AMLike(3) Reply
No mattter what I will be paying the way. He stays at home with our son. - Disneymom0107143.9 #2381 3-12-12 1:26PMLike Reply
Hopefully you can convince him. My husband was the same way. My two year old and I go all the time but he thought it was a waste if money. Though he isn't as enthusiastic as the two of us he enjoys it if only to see our daughter having fun. - Ilianasmom5.2 #10073 3-12-12 1:28PMLike Reply
This is for a couple days ago. I am still recovering from my Disneyland hangover. I just love though how my son (it was his first time riding) has the calmest face out of all of us.

I have seen a few comments with people talking about negative things so I want to post something positive! Tons of people have said they have met people from MW and made friends for life. Share some stories of how you came to meet these p More...
I posted a picture of new Halloween hats in August, DisneyRose and duchess73 wanted but lived to far, I bought them and shipped them out to them, that act of kindness started my journey to meeting amazing people. I no longer was afraid to put myself out there. For so long I was alone, especially after my divorce (where my life revolved around my ex and after divorce I felt sooo alone). Ive since meet the greatest people. My BFF Vincent chase who I totally clicked with since first minute I met him. Grew deeper friendships with my MT friends that I would do anything for even though some I've never met in person. Dave helped me get in mischief and felt like a kid again. Madsdad helped me feel their is someone else out their knowing exactly what I'm going through and making me feel so special. I am overwhelmed with happiness to see people enter themselves in my name and my son because of the love they have for me. I'm just being ME, and you guys make me feel loved and special. I don't know anywhere else I can be myself and feel so loved as here (I don't have that even with my family). So I await to meet more people and establish more friendships because of this App! - MarshaMouse2834.8 #15 1-24-12 4:50PMLike(22) Reply

Oh my goodness I could go on forever on this post but my first true MW friendship started when Cricket was in the hospital and Zipity and I asked in the lounge if anyone wanted to pool some money together to send flowers to him in the hospital...We were shocked at ALL of the support for a fellow MWr..we had enough money for flowers and then some...we even had money left over to donate to Admin....it was such an awesome experience to see so many people work together for someone else..That was when I knew MW was more than an App.... - iyuzMickey509.7 #230 1-24-12 8:01AMLike(11) Reply
:o Wow...such a blessing for everyone involved. So sweet! - ohhhtoodles 365.2 #381 1-24-12 8:32AM
That's how I got to know Cricket as well. I remember my heart being so touched by his post when he was on his wayto the hospital and then the collection to send him a plant. We got to sit together at the Birthday Party and meet him and his lovely wife, Silver. It was the highlight of the weekend for me to see him doing so well. - vernswifevickie 343.3 #424 1-24-12 12:55PM
So I'm going to Disneyland next month and my son is a little over the 40 inch mark (whoo hoo). I don't remember how the seats are In space mountain and I want to make sure i will be able to keep an arm around him if I need too. Can anyone More...
My son was 40 inches at 3 years old and so he had no issues getting on Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, TOT, and Soarin. Once they put shoes on it pushes them up even more. On Space Mountain I put an arm around him and it works just fine and is not at all uncomfortable. If he doesn't want my arm there he will hold my hand. - thomaks129.3 #2588 1-22-12 8:13AMLike(2) Reply
Also from what I understand, if there is a space between them and the bar, they may not let him ride. Just try it and if they wont allow him thet its ok. Remember, your in Disneyland and there are alot of other rides. Just have fun. If you don't feel he is safe don't do it. Use your best jjudgement. - PinTrader262.7 #888 1-22-12 8:22AMLike(1) Reply
Should be just fine. If you're nervous hold his hand or leg. Tell him to have fun and scream:) - fam4dlr3.5 #16908 1-22-12 8:57AMLike Reply
We have been watching videos every night for the last month of rides. Lol it has become our bed time ritual. He seems ok with it so far. TOT is the only one I'm nervous about and we will probably wait another year or so for that one. My 15 year old sisters butt comes off the seat on that one so I'm nervous what will happen to a 3 year old lol. - Disneymom0107143.9 #2381 1-22-12 9:36AMLike Reply
