I love to "stop and smell the flowers" in DL. It is absolutely incredible to find the details that make the magic work. The small things (like the changing of the trash bin to match the land), to the bigger things (like the way the background music will change to fit the atmosphere, or how the light can dim in adventureland, or at different points it can smell dusky). If and I stress IF there are open seats they will allow you in on a first come first seve basis. I say this cautiously. Here's my two cents (for what it's worth). I do believe this is an inevitable step for the park, however I also find it slightly disheartening. Seeing something Walt wanted being done away with is rough. On the other hand Disney is all about telling stories. To try and tell this story would be impossible without wine. It's far too integrated into the French culture. So I see both sides of it. I should re-phrase a bit so as to not sound quite so rigid... I know many people will have different opinions on the pot stance and I certainly am not trying to speak negatively of any one who choices to smoke pot. However, relatively harmless or not, until it is legalized, it doesn't belong in the parks ESPECIALLY being smoked by minors. Thank you for those that are compassionate about therapeutic cannabis use! As a cannabis patient and mad Disney lover I always wonder where I may fit it among other Disney fans and park goers. I, personally, refrain from use in the park as I don't want to offend or force a parent to have a conversation with a child over 'smell'.
