Okay, I did my search and couldn't quite find the answer I was looking for. I know for the Halloween party we can enter DL a few hours before and we get wristbands. But we are already going to be in Disneyland as we are arriving a few day More...
On Days parties start at 6 you can get in at 3, when parties start at 7 they can enter at 4. So simply go get dressed around that time, rest a bit, get a backpack or big bag for candy and then re-enter the park around that time with your Halloween tickets and you'll get a wristband as you enter. As soon as closing time happens, either 6 or 7, then cm will be asking to see wristbands and that will weed out non Halloween party guest. Have fun - MarshaMouse2864.4 #15 9-9-12 9:28AMLike(3) Reply
When we went a couple of years ago, we were already in the park (because we were only there for 3 days) - after 4 pm we went to a certain spot to get our wristbands and candy bags - we didn't have to leave the park - zigbear149.2 #2303 9-9-12 9:21AMLike(1) Reply

I have never actually been, so you may want to check with someone who has... But it is my understanding (from previous years reading on MW) that they have places inside the parks that you can get your wrist bands if you are already in the parks. You do not have to leave and return or avoid entering earlier just because you are going to the Halloween party (that would just take away from the magic!). But I'm sure if you leave to change into your costumes, that will be fine as well. I hope this helps at least a little! - SPandEvLover782.7 #122 9-9-12 9:35AMLike Reply

We try to go two to three times a year for three to four days each time. We did the math and it was worth it. We have to see in October to make sure it's still a good deal for us, that's when our passes expire. - minigirl1156 411.7 #315 5-19-12 8:55AM
Okay, I won't fret. :) They DID charge me, so that's good!! Ha. V8, I figured I'm saving a lot of money this way. I tried to find this answer myself with various keyword searches, on the DL Pass site, etc. I could not. If one purchases an Annual Pass through the mail, is the effective date the day you bought it? Or the first time you use it? I have More...
I can't be 100% certain, but I think that the pass becomes "active" the first day it's used. So, if I bought my pass today, but didn't use it until June 15, my year would start on June 15th. I would assume it has to be used within a certain time period, though. Again, not 100% certain on this, but that's my understanding. - Spoonful_O_Sugar436.2 #285 5-19-12 7:22AMLike(2) Reply

Last December when we purchased it worked as such. The passes could be purchased prior, but could only be used on a non-blackout day. The first day you used them would be your first date. If you purchase them the same day, you can go regardless of blackout status. - Squirtortue311.1 #553 5-19-12 7:28AMLike Reply

I agree with the people who love Disney have imagination. I love people who use their imagination to create different places, or characters. I also am very young at heart and that is why I am delighted every time I walk into the park. - Sharkgrrl19202.9 #1586 4-3-12 12:55PMLike Reply
So this is probably an old school question, but I noticed there are no fast passes available for most attractions today. Is that because they've all been given out since it's so busy?
I hope putting this in the Hub was the right place! - PeachKay310.6 #556 3-31-12 11:18AMLike Reply

These are my daughter's, and I love helping her with the collection as I don't have a favorite character. :) But yes! She loves Peter Pan and Wall-E. - PeachKay 310.6 #556 3-31-12 11:28AM
They are all adorable!!
Wall-E is one of my favorites too ☺👍 - Aquata 292.2 #659 3-31-12 11:32AM
Sigh. It must be hormonal. :) MW is making me so sad this morning. It's like the longer it's been since our trip, the more the magic disappears. And it's only been three weeks! Thanks for the pics everyone!
I know what you mean. It's been two weeks since our annual visit, and I really miss it! - CinderellyKelly197.1 #1665 3-31-12 9:28AMLike Reply
When we got back, it was "I miss Disneyland" everyday, all day, for both of us. When my daughter said it last night, I realized I hadn't said it in awhile. It was as if I was officially back into the "old routine." :( - PeachKay 310.6 #556 3-31-12 9:36AM
So I was just reading about Harper Goff, a local man with Disney ties. I didn't realize that Main Street USA was not only based on Marceline, Missouri, but some features of Fort Collins, Colorado, as well. (My city.) Any surprising trivia More...
I finally discovered I had a lot of things unlocked for MouseWait radio. :) I hadn't logged out and in. Thanks to everyone for these!! We listened to a lot of things and it was almost like being there again. :)
Wow, so I am truly a newbie. I was reading about the VIP tour guides, the "plaids", because I didn't really know what they did. I saw a pic of one of them on Space Mountain back in 2007 with Harrison Ford and I shared it with my daughter, More...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCrHry0n83g Gosh I hope this works. If you have a spare 11 minutes, my daughter likes to make videos of our trips. :) Photo quality varies but commentary is funny.
This must be some kind of sickness. I went in to pick up my taxes...I was in no hurry because I owe. Anyway, the accountant had included my estimates for 2012, and they weren't very much...which got me to thinking....extra money? Return t More...
So, when we can't be at Disneyland, we play Disneyland Kinect Adventures. I know the target age for it is probably 7 or so.... :) The attention to detail in it is pretty cool. :) Got my photo fix from all of you, too. Thanks!
Love that game! The guy at the electronics section said it was "really difficult to play" and "not worth the money" but I'm so glad I didn't listen to him and got it anyways. It's a blast. - PiecesOf8373.1 #368 3-20-12 10:35PMLike Reply
I went and bought an x box and kinect just so I could buy the disneyland game. I think it's a blast. I don't care if it is intended for kids. - Disneykinger211.2 #1468 3-20-12 10:41PMLike Reply
I'm so glad we aren't the only ones! Difficult to play? Bah. We finished one game and started a new one last night. (It took us three months to finish all the quests etc, but if it had gone faster, I would have felt ripped off.)
I'm not sure why people aren't buying Kinects vs. Wii. I love the freedom it gives you, plus it has some great fitness and dance programs. It's another one of those "bonding purchases" to share with my 16 year old. :) - PeachKay310.6 #556 3-21-12 8:09AMLike Reply
So, I have to ask this to everyone...when did your love affair with Disneyland begin? Age? And did you move to be closer to it? Have a goal to work there? Etc.? My almost 17 year old fell in love last year and wants to move closer/work th More...
Well...I'll be honest. I was raised with Disney since I was a baby. I remember watching "The Rescuers" as a 3 year old and my first real love came when I was 4 ... The Little Mermaid.
I remember that scene in Louis' kitchen bothered me as I went home from the theater. So much so because I believed I had seen Ariel's green fin laying on the cutting board. So I begged my dad to take me again the following day. He did and calmly explained to me that Ursula did not sell Ariel's old fin to Louis. That it was just some fish.
Still to this day, that scene makes me giggle.
A trip to Disneyland wasn't far off from that. I went to WDW first at 6 then DLR at 9.
I only moved close to it about 3 years ago. Now I'm only 10 minutes away and I couldn't be more happier about that :) - Aquata292.2 #659 3-19-12 7:28AMLike(6) Reply

My parents took me and my siblings to DL at least twice a year from a young age. I'm 41 now and we are definately a Disney family all with annual passes in hand. - CaliFlwr102.9 #3001 3-19-12 6:58AMLike Reply
I went for the first time when I was 7 and fell in love! After that, my family and I went every summer, sometimes more, for 4-5 days. As I got older, though, it lost its appeal because we went so often and I began to like Hollywood better. But then I found my brain again when I was 16/17 and missed it! But honestly, while I've loved DL for years, MW is what made me OBSESSED with Disney =) - KylaShea533.2 #214 3-19-12 9:48AMLike Reply
I am from Texas. Growing up we always went to WDW. I took my daughter there for the first time when she was 3. We just celebrated her 18th birthday at DLR. When my daughter was 4 my mom and I decided to take her to DLR and have gone every year since! DLR and Paradise Pier Hotel are my sanctuary from the world! We got annual passes this year and have spent 2 weeks total there this year and LOVED every second! I now have a 2 year old too who has been to DLR twice and loves it just as much as we do!! If I had the option to move closer I'd take it in a second!!! - brittandkell288.3 #678 3-19-12 9:49AMLike Reply

September is Anna's idea! :) Don't know if it's my purse's idea. :) I forgot to mention...my daughter made a little girl's day with a Tinkerbell pin. That was a special moment, too. Alice, teacups shut down. Sometimes coasters like btmrr and Matterhorn close too if it's raining too hard. But it's actually a FUN time to go!!! Rain boots, snow jacket (water repellent) and sometimes my snow pants since it keeps out moisture and keeps me dry. Panchos help too but you still get wet with those, pants wise. An umbrella help a bit but not that much. Dont worry about rain, it hasn't lasted long when it rains here, it rains for a bit and back to normal soon after. - MarshaMouse2864.4 #15 3-4-12 10:23AMLike(3) Reply
