Why are Disney area hotel rates so extremely high for the weekend of Feb 22? Is there something going on that I'm missing?
Dapper day is that Sunday. I've never been during that time so I'm not sure what its all about or how it affects the crowds. We are going the 21-24 and noticed a lot of hotels are completely booked. - disneymama07

Just ran into some extra money so we WILL be able to renew our APs after all! The fam hasn't been back since right before Carsland opened. We are both HUGE foodies. What are some must haves?
Personally I cannot go a trip without getting a brocolli cheese soup sourdough bread bowl from Pacific Warf Cafe. And to spice it up a little bit, we took our bread bowls to the Cove Bar and got some drinks and an appetizer and enjoyed ourselves watching WOD and the coaster go round. :) Enjoy! - stephigo2

It needs to be done. They should station more photo CMs out there to make it go faster though. In the long run it should cut down on people with bad or rented tickets that wind up holding up the lines to get in the parks. - ScooterMike

Odd question...I homeschool my second grade son. Has anyone tried to school while visiting the parks? I was hoping I could come up with some Disney lessons!
Disneyland has a lot of good history and engineering. Do the drawing class in CA too. Ride the lily Belle and drive the mark Twain. Look at the plants growing and research when you get home. Most of all have fun and enjoy the experience. He'll learn by living it. - MamaRoo

Yes! I homeschool too. Just incorporate lessons into your day. Go to the petting zoo for a lesson on animals, get in a line and calculate wait times, social studies by looking at all the different visitors from all over the world and note the different languages and go to small world, American history with Lincoln, and it goes on and on.... - tiggermother

There are two dining packages. One is at Ariels Grotto. Its basically a meal there. Its pricy but if you were gonna eat there already then its better to kill to birds with one stone. Not sure if you need to reserve it or anything. The other dining package are the picnic lunches they sell at the trattoria (sp?), they are cheaper in price but good if you arnt looking to pay alot or want a big meal. Either way the fastpass you get will be for the same reserved section. - Fade2blk

Use the baby center, take breaks, keep baby hydrated and warm once it cools. Enjoy some shows. If Mom breastfeeds pirates is a cool ride to go on to nurse baby...well once you pass the 2 drops. Just fyi it might be dark but the CM in the control room might get a boob flash, they've gotten plenty from me. So it's cool, they seen worst =) - UncoolBunny
