I found someone's wallet by the shuttles and turned it in...they can track people down if AP holders right?
Well if the person is still there most likely they will be checking Lost and Found. Otherwise, they have been known to mail items back to guests. My day's cane was mailed back to him after they found it - KissDclown   1089.2 #124 12-11-12 2:12PM Like  Reply

I'd like to get the advice of all you MW LA-area resident experts! What would be the fastest, least traffic route from LAX to Disneyland? Everything I search on google is giving answers from like 2009 so I'd love some current advice. All   More...
Sigalert.com is an amazing website. We always re-route based on current traffic conditions. Hopefully some can shed light on directions, always be ready to detour if needed. - Linzee   782.9 #186 12-5-12 10:15AM Like(1)  Reply

Or you can do the 405 south to the 110 north(.3 or less of a mile) to the 91 east to the 5 south. They all have a carpool lane. Usually the carpool for 105 fwy gets backup because of the 110 fwy carpool merge. - VfxGenie  1504.0 #80 12-5-12 11:45AM
if its a sunday at noon/1ish it shouldn't matter. just make sure to check the sigalert or waze app with traffic info. - toph   2416.6 #41 12-5-12 12:17PM Like(1)  Reply

I agree. Huntington Beach on the Main Street is the best to visit to get that great CA beach feeling. There are great shops, restaraunts and the pier is cool. On Tuesday nights they block off the street for cool vendors/farmers market and the surf shops have sidewalk sales on tee's etc. Then Laguna "Main" Beach would be my second choice. - DesperateMousewife   878.0 #162 4-18-12 7:18AM Like  Reply
Awesome thank you! I will look into those beaches... I know I have heard of Huntington Beach before. We will probably be driving to San Diego too, so any beaches between DL and San Deigo worth stopping at? Oh and so how practical is it to drive the coast highway to San Diego instead of I-5? Seems like it would be a lot more beautiful, but maybe a much slower drive? I dont know how it compares to the coast hwy up here! - jalensmommy   150.3 #2530 4-18-12 10:23AM Like  Reply
I would have to say stop at San Clemente if u take the Amtrak at Angels stadium it will drop u off right on the beach it's a fun experience - princessVanessa  384.3 #492 4-18-12 10:34AM
If you want to see the coast down to San Diego, I too would suggest taking the Surfliner train. It rides along the coast. You can stop along the way, like in San Clemente, and then hope back on. Once you get into San Diego, you can take the trolly around. Seaport Village down in San Diego is fun for kids. If you wanted to drive the coast, it will take you a lot longer. PCH stops at the end of San Clemente and you have to take the 5 freeway for most of the way. - caramiapoohAKAface  2802.2 #33 4-18-12 10:50AM

I love Disney at night and prefer to go in the evening. I would say crowds start thinning out after fireworks but it's really depending on the season. A lot of locals come to parks after work/evening on Friday and Saturday nights. You should definitely check out Fantasmic during your stay! Thank you! I will be there the 1st week of may... From what I've found online that's considered a slightly more busy time of year, but spring break will have just ended and grad nights are still a few weeks out, so I'm hoping for slightly fewer crowds! The parks are only open until like 8 or 9 most of the nights were there. - jalensmommy  150.3 #2530 3-27-12 10:57PM
It usually starts to slow down after parades or fireworks. It gets pretty empty at night when school is in, but when school is out, it's normally busy all day. - JoeDownTheRabbitHole   397.5 #476 3-27-12 10:44PM Like(1)  Reply

Legoland is my backyard. My kids have been going since they are 6mo. Honestly is a 1 day park. You can make the drive in one day. Drive down in the morning do the park and drive back to your hotel. It's a cute park and mini land is pretty cool to see if you like Legos. The water park isn't very much fun unless it's really warm. They do not heat the water and Legoland seems to have its own weather pattern you may think its warm until you get into the park. You're in luck, I might just be the only one still up over here in Cali! Unfortunately, there is no designated area to leave your important items while on rides. They have stroller areas where you can leave your belongings but that is only as safe as the people around them. Most roller coasters have storage bags in front of you while on the ride which you can place your camera and what not. You may also rent lockers but I dont believe that would be very beneficial to you seeing as they are at the entrance of the park. My personal advice would be to take a small backpack that you can carry on rides and store your important items. Better safe than sorry! - ScubaSteve028   835.4 #174 2-21-12 4:12AM Like(3)  Reply

Hi MouseWaiters! I am looking for ideas! I am planning to surprise my 5yr old son with a trip to DL in a couple months. I want to wait until we are leaving for the airport to tell him we are goin somewhere.... I basically want it to be a   More...
You should buy him some Disney clothes, then watch a whole bunch of Disney movies before hand or on the plane, then read some Disney books. Them ask him "Boy after all these Disney surprises, movies, and books, wouldn't it be cool to to go to Disneyland?" Assuming he says yes, then say on the plane "Well surprise! We're on our way now!" I think that would be a great surprise! - JoeDownTheRabbitHole   397.5 #476 2-21-12 12:11AM Like(8)  Reply

Do one of those books you can record your voice reading. At the end say. We are going to DL. Surprise. - sewedna   311.7 #721 2-21-12 12:11AM Like(6)  Reply

Either at breakfast or I can tell him that we're going somewhere on a plane and give him the gifts on the plane every 30 mins or so to make the time to by and see him figure it out that way. I don't think I'd be able to get him on his first flight without him CONSTANTLY asking me where we're going lol - jalensmommy   150.3 #2530 2-24-12 11:12PM Like  Reply
