I just wanted to share a story of Disney magic with you. My BF and I were at the parks a few weeks ago, and I introduced him to Dole Whips and got him an "I'm Celebrating My First Dole Whip" button. I made him wear it all day. lol. The ne More...
I'm helping my mom move, and came across this pic of my daughter and Merlin after she pulled the sword from the stone in about 2002. Awww, she was so little!
This isn't a great pic, but I'm hoping someone can help. My daughter traded for this pin last month because she liked the way it looked, but we have no idea what character it is. The back says Disney/Pixar, and the year is 2008. Any ideas More...
This was taken May 19 at our first ever Disney parade. My daughter LOVES Tink and said this was obviously the real Tink since she's the only one we've ever seen that had the hair and wings right. DD is a HUGE stickler for accurate Tink wi More...
Our trip this last weekend was full of firsts: a ride on the Monorail, watching a parade (something I've never done in all the times I've gone to DL), watching Fantasmic, and going in the bridge of the Mark Twain. We would have liked to h More...
We did a lot of firsts on our last trip too! Sorry you didn't get to meet any MWers but it sounds like you had a great time! Next trip, hit the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail or eat somewhere at the Grand, you can hook up to the wi-fi and do a RAK from there while you take a nice cool break! - cynDOLEwhip744.1 #137 5-30-12 9:08AMLike Reply
That's a great idea (going to the Grand). I'll keep that one in mind. :) - jmgphx322.7 #511 5-30-12 9:10AMLike Reply
This is from our trip last weekend. Thanks to all the MWers who posted about being able to go to the bridge of the Mark Twain. I think it was the highlight of my daughter's trip! When she was told she had the wheel and all she had to do w More...

Oh hey its Captain Kenny! He's really nice.. He told us a lot about what happens with the Mark Twain during Fantasmic - MEHlanie_Mouse691.0 #146 5-30-12 10:49AMLike Reply
That's odd, TeaJack. She signed the guest book, and while she was steering, he filled it out. She wants to get it framed. lol. She thought steering was cool, and loved that she got to blow the whistle and ring the bell, too. Captain Kenny was awesome - super nice guy. - jmgphx322.7 #511 5-30-12 11:37AMLike Reply
I need to find him next time. Me and my sis went 2 weeks ago and the CM wasn't friendly at all. - iamdugsmaster 756.8 #133 5-30-12 3:35PM
Does anyone (CMs?) know what is going on with the Disney ticket website? I'm trying to purchase a ticket for a friend, and keep getting an error message at checkout that says, "We're sorry, our system is currently unavailable. Please try More...
I cannot even get ahold of a person at the AP phone number. It says system is down on the recording??? - Zipitydoodahdad258.1 #924 5-21-12 1:16PMLike Reply
I'm gonna bet they are getting a ton of angry callers. I hope not, the CM's answering the phones have nothing to do with price increases and I hate it when I see people jump all over a woerker for something they didn't do. Ot it could be tons of people calling to renew their pass to get it at the old price. - madsdad1124.9 #73 5-21-12 1:28PMLike Reply
I finally called and was told they are working on the system and to wait a bit. We're leaving Thursday, and I was hoping to have the ticket for our guest printed and ready to go by then (we have APs but he doesn't). I really don't want to wait and purchase at the ticket window since we get slightly discounted tix through my work. I guess I'll try again tomorrow! - jmgphx322.7 #511 5-21-12 3:41PMLike Reply
What is the oddest Disney-related present you've ever given or received? Last year, I gave my daughter a jar of dirt for her 17th birthday (as a gag - she got other gifts, too), and she danced around all day singing Jack's line. It turned More...
My dad gave me a tinkerbell stocking on christmas. I don't like tinkerbell. Ha. - JenInWonderland1025.1 #86 5-4-12 9:34AMLike Reply
Oops. At least he tried, right? Sometimes that's all you can ask of a dad. lol - jmgphx 322.7 #511 5-4-12 9:38AM
First - I did a search ('cause it's my friend!) but didn't see the exact info I need. If I have a friend who lives in Cali purchase tickets for members of our group at the Cali resident price, does that Cali resident have to be at the par More...
I'm pretty sure she won't have to be there with you. - JenInWonderland1025.1 #86 5-3-12 3:42PMLike Reply
Thanks, Jen. :) Does anyone know for sure? It would not be a good start to our girls' weekend to have to buy a second set of tickets once we got to the gates! - jmgphx322.7 #511 5-3-12 4:07PMLike Reply
I have a silly (aka stupid) question re the search feature. If I search for a specific word or phrase, the results show me the comments/original posts where the word appears. How can I see the whole conversation that that post appears in? More...

When we were at DL last month, there were only 2 or 3 fireflies in the bayou area & no "cannonball splashes" in the ship/fort battle area. Does anyone know if these are permanent changes or if it was just a fluke & has been fixed? I misse More...
lol. Yep. We even went rode POTC three times! The first time, we noticed it, and made a point of really looking the other two times. We mentioned the missing fireflies to the CM, who said something about Maintenance and light bulbs. *shrug* - jmgphx 322.7 #511 4-2-12 3:44PM
My bf and I totally noticed this too when we were there at the end of febuary! We found it odd that there was no cannon splashes! But when we rode it later in the weekend there were back! Not sure! - CourtyAstroBlisters440.2 #282 4-2-12 3:47PMLike Reply
Well, at least I know it wasn't just us! lol. POTC is still awesome, but I hope they fix the fireflies and splashes before we get there at the end of May. Maybe it's silly, but the bayou and firefly area is my favorite part of the ride. - jmgphx322.7 #511 4-2-12 3:53PMLike Reply

I've invited one of my bff's on our next DL visit, but she is very VERY gluten intolerant. Any suggestions on dining in the park? Is it do-able (and affordable)? Thanks!

Thanks, everyone! I'll definitely look at the vegetarian book. And the info about talking to the chefs at the sit-down restaurants is good to know. I haven't had to deal with restrictions while reveling and had no idea they'd do this! :) - jmgphx322.7 #511 3-26-12 10:31AMLike Reply
I couldn't get this to post earlier, and then realized I had to use my phone instead of pc. Oops. Anyway, this is our DL day-pack we finished sewing last night. Can't wait to use it!
Very cute, but you got some pooh on the corner. - Candace1737.8 #44 2-29-12 1:25PMLike(4) Reply
Aw, thanks! I'm thinking about making a few more - I think if I can find fabric with Mickey/Minnie in the classic red/black/white color scheme, I can make one with some solid red and black squares. I think that would look really nice, too. (And I'll try to make sure there's no more "pooh on the corner." lol) - jmgphx322.7 #511 2-29-12 2:01PMLike Reply
Hello MouseWaiters! I recently found the MW app/site while prepping for our long-awaited DL trip (ten more days!!!). There should be a huge disclaimer on the dashboard saying "Caution - MW may be addictive." lol
