I had heard somewhere that the folks at Disney were PLANNING on it....I just didn't know if there was anything I didn't know about. I LIKE the recordings of the show live, but a mixed-for-earbuds cd wouldn't hurt :) - J-Malo 5.5 #9987 7-6-12 5:40PM
You can always listen to the soundtrack on MouseWait radio. - JenInWonderland1025.3 #86 7-6-12 12:04PMLike Reply
Really excited to go in about 2 months! Anyone wanna tell me how Carsland is? Thanks!
Easiest way to describe Carsland is AMAZING! You feel like you walked into the movie! Don't miss the breakfast selection at flo's, pear-a-dice drink from cozy cone, and Radiator Springs Racers regardless of the line! - Mickeymouse28349.1 #427 6-30-12 6:42PMLike Reply
Kinda more related to California than DL, but living in mid-western US they're both connected in my mind! :) I wanted to get any opinions on the new Beach Boys CD "that's why god made the radio". What do ya think? Any songs remind you of More...
I haven't hear this album so I can't add input, but I do miss heading the beach boys as you walk into DCA. Heard California girls and I started reminiscing - TikiJOSEsWingman330.1 #488 6-23-12 10:28PMLike(1) Reply
Saw them over MDW in Las Vegas and I instantly loved this song as soon as they started playing. The Beach Boys songs that reminds me the most of DCA are 'Fun, Fun, Fun' and 'I Get Around'. - KermitFan13411.1 #323 6-23-12 10:50PMLike Reply
Had anyone stayed in the Fairfield Inn across the way from DL after the recent renovations? Looks pretty good to me...but I can't be sure. Any comments will be helpful! Thanks!
We have...about a month ago. Really nice and so close to the park. We walked in just a couple minutes. We got the Disney themed room, they let us choose which theme when we checked in. Clean, close, super nice staff....would definitely recommend. - MandJloveMickey212.6 #1481 5-23-12 10:24PMLike(1) Reply
We stay there and like it very much. If you are looking in to other hotels then the HOJO is right next to the Fairfield and you can get a MW discount. - Fanatic4Disney258.3 #937 5-23-12 10:26PMLike(1) Reply
I stayed there last year..not sure how recent the renovations were but last year it was a nice place! Clean, roomy, and even slightly Disneyland themed. My boyfriend loved the complimentary lime water in the lobby haha - brianacupcakes7.0 #8358 5-23-12 10:22PMLike Reply
We have stayed there. Very nice and a short walk from the park. I say yes. - sewedna103.4 #3035 5-23-12 10:50PMLike Reply

When riding Big Thunder Mountain there's what is known as "the goat trick." At the bend with the goat chewing the dynamite stick you keep your eyes on him for as long as possible, craning your neck around along with the turn. This gives y More...
There's a youtube channel "DisneyParkAudios" and they have a lot of park music. To answer your question, I'd say Critter Country. - SorcererD91506.1 #235 4-13-12 10:56PMLike Reply
I'll be going 23rd - 31st of august....LAST time we went in this time period it was WONDERFUL. Tame crowds, but not too thin, good weather....Tell me, oh wise MWers....was this an anomaly? Or have we struck on a golden time of the year to More...
I knoweth not,for my parents fear of crowds and never take us children in the golden summertime to Disneyland... - theRealDisneygirlforevr175.3 #1960 4-10-12 9:14PMLike(1) Reply
Thank you all! Now, we have ALWAYS gone in different times of the summer, so maybe we just gauge varrying degrees of 'crowded'. We know it's a busy season....but Cali is made for summer :) to me anyways. - J-Malo5.5 #9987 4-10-12 9:26PMLike(1) Reply
Lol, yeah it's gonna be hot most likely, but I think that you are not going at peak time, so it will be crowded but not unbearable hopefully! - PinkElephants 652.7 #166 4-10-12 9:28PM
I love the heat, so that won't bother us. :) thank you for your input! - J-Malo 5.5 #9987 4-10-12 9:41PM

I think you picked an ok time, seems like it should be similar to when you went last time. Schools here start all different times, some the beginning of August, some the middle and end. - PinkElephants652.7 #166 4-10-12 9:22PMLike Reply
I found an old tape with the most unlikely of sound bites on it: the toon town radio broadcasts heard from Mickey's house! It's fun to listen to this stuff, especially since not a whole lot of people pay close attention to it.
How neat! It's a shame that it's on a tape so you can't share it with us though. - LittleAprilShowers500.8 #241 4-10-12 1:53PMLike Reply
That would sound great on MW radio... - proudcanuck476.9 #255 4-10-12 1:58PMLike Reply
i would love to have that. i have a USB connector so that it can be made into digital format, if you want to send me a cassette copy, i'll bump it to digital for you. - littleoysterz210.4 #1518 4-10-12 2:07PMLike Reply

I love the changes. I think Buena Vista St is going to be amazing. The only thing I don't like is that they got rid of the California letters and Golden Gate bridge :( - Jaytasmic373.3 #380 4-8-12 8:21PMLike(5) Reply
I think that changes DO have to be made, I like a lot of them (buena vista St., world of color), but I think that there's a growing lack of coherence in the park. The original CONCEPT was genius, albeit a touch devoid of that Disney charm, in my opinion. I think that while their trying to bring in more classic Disney stuff, the park is losing identity. - J-Malo5.5 #9987 4-8-12 8:25PMLike(2) Reply

I grow weary of my single-digit rank....what's the fastest way to climb the charts? Bear in mind I'm in Utah, not Cali, and therefore can't post ride updates accurately.

remember too, that a lot of the people here with high scores have been on here for years and really add quality content, they might only go to the parks once a year or less, but post quality comments on other's post, and try to be a good contributing member of the community. I would rather see a low score than one that was artificially grown by commenting junk on every post. take your time with it and then people will get to know you too! - secretagentangel710.6 #143 4-8-12 4:32PMLike Reply

How do you all like the new star tours? I'm a HUGE star wars fan and have not had the pleasure of riding it myself yet. Is it better than the old one? Or is the classic ride still king?

We've stayed at Fairfield quite a few times. It's clean and the beds are comfortable. The hojo gets great reviews and has the same amenities and you can get a MW discount. Haven't stayed there, but planning on it in the future. - Fanatic4Disney258.3 #937 4-2-12 9:09AMLike(1) Reply

We ways stay at the candy cane inn. Great little hotel. They have standard, deluxe and premium rooms on 2 levels. The standard rooms are the front half of the motel each side of pool. The deluxe rooms are the back half for $10 more. The premium rooms are in the very back. The candy cane inn also has a free breakfast which has pastries, fruits, ceriels, and yogurts. That alone saves us about $30 dollars a day for 3 of us. The staff is very friendly and they have a shuttle that runs every half hour, but it is on the same side of DL on Katilla. Just walk south and it is the first motel you run into. Voted #2 of Anaheim motels on trip advisor last I looked. Standard rooms are usually 139 a night, deluxe 149 and premium 179. They have a nice heated salt water pool and hottub. And as I said earlier, free continental breakfast. My family will be there for 11 days end of august, beginning of sept. Hope to see you there. - radarwatcher126.9 #4618 4-2-12 5:54PMLike Reply
