Good morning MWers. I was wondering, in your opinion what is the difference between a ride and an attraction at the parks? Does DL and DCA have both rides and attractions or just attractions. I would argue that DL has attractions and DCA More...
Excellent question. Rides are just one type of attraction we have at the resort. We also have live shows, movies to watch, parades, fireworks, walk thoughs, shooting galleries, etc. All are
types of attractions. All rides are attractions but not all attractions are rides. This is true in both parks. I hope this helps. - BalooTBear904.4 #97 1-14-13 10:49AMLike(11) Reply
that was an awesome analogy response CMBaloo. Welcome back we have missed you kind sir - pikarich 611.5 #178 1-14-13 10:55AM
All the "rides" at Disneyland are attractions. We use this term to differentiate from other parks because no other park compares with the design, imagination and artwork at DLR. Disneyland attractions tell a story with a beginning, middle and end. They are a combination of art and imagination. Add a little magic and you have a theme park, not an amusement park. - MyPark944.1 #91 1-14-13 10:26AMLike(8) Reply
No one posts Disneyland pictures any more😪. It looks like its up to me on Wednesday. I'm excited to ride the refurbished Matterhorn.
Have a great evening MWers
They got me. As you can see this seems like an obvious fake. The "Ebter" any time between is the giveaway. Anyways, what is the proper etiquette for getting rid of the fake pins. Turn in to city hall? Does DL care about fake pins and want More...
If you got it from a CM, you should try and find that same CM and alert them to it. They should let you trade for another one. - LaneSparrow316846.9 #108 5-21-12 2:57PMLike Reply
I agree. Or trade it for a real one to a blind kid ala Dumber and Dumber like. - ManBearPig 417.0 #309 5-21-12 3:03PM

I was pin trading with a CM last night and she told me that she loaded her lanyard up with "good ones". So for the CMs who wear lanyards while working do you get to pick the pins you put on or are your lanyards loaded up for you before yo More...
I'm not a CM but, I was about to pin trade with a CM when another CM (seemed like a Supervisor or Manager) came over and gave them more pins to put on their lanyards. He had just walked out from the back of one of the doors do I'm guessing they don't choose they just get what they receive. I could be wrong! - Jackie211472.2 #255 4-30-12 8:56PMLike Reply
Thanks for that info. Kind of ruins the fun. You would think they would do that back stage - TheMouseRules 275.0 #778 4-30-12 9:01PM
I always thought they were their personal pins - ScooterMike 1959.8 #35 4-30-12 9:03PM
Personally when I trade with guests, I try to find pins that the serious pin traders would like and what the casual pin traders may like. Sometimes we do get to chose the pins we put in our lanyard, but most of the time, the same pins stay on from the previous day. Also, if your manager notices you're pin trading, they'll help you out and maybe give you newer ones too. - BaseballMickey_CM2854.1 #16 4-30-12 9:25PMLike Reply
This last trip we asked a CM that same question! She said she tries to get there early so she can grab a board an choose her pins and she does the same with her lanyards. She likes to pick pins that have that "rare" look and that she thinks people would love. She also did the same when it came to her kids only lanyard... Special info: some of the CM said they won't trade if they know a child comes to trade a rare or limited addition pin. The great CMs do explain to the parent an child to keep their pin and that it is rare or limited edition. Some times if they are just getting started in pin trading CMs will give a pin to help start pin trading 💗 (I loved this! My son just started pin trading and this happened, plus the CM gave us all pin trading 101 loved it!!!) ✨✨✨ - Singh2011178.8 #1879 4-30-12 11:31PMLike Reply

Me too! Part of the fun is just going with the flow. Although I usually get a Fastpass for Space Mountain when I first get there, then the rest is unplanned! - BreadAndButterfly 505.3 #234 4-9-12 9:22PM
I don't and that's what I love about having an AP. Even though I live far, I can visit often enough that I don't feel like I need to rush or pack so much into one day. Even before I had an AP and my family would go once a year, we only planned out our meals. The rest of the day was just whatever we felt like doing at the moment. - Jillian765.4 #129 4-10-12 12:08AMLike Reply
Thank goodness for our Ap! Nope, no plan just a general idea of what rides we want to go on or shows we wanna see. Take our time and enjoy the time there more then anything. - ATankNamedFrank317.3 #535 4-10-12 12:15AMLike Reply
To all the pin traders... I have become hooked on pins. For the longest time I could not understand the lure of them. Now I can say I am a true collector. How long did some of you fight the pin craze before you started collecting? Just cu More...

Our family started the pins for the first time this year and it is soooo addicting, but such a huge bonding experience. It is amazing how many people have them and the memories they bring. - Beej235.6 #1160 4-8-12 11:40PMLike Reply

How do I post pics to the lounge from an iPhone ? I'm looking for a camera icon? Please help. I have a ton of great pics from yesterday I would like to share.
Thanks!
You press the "post" button and you should see a different screen come up with a place to write and a blue camera icon. Press the icon and pick a picture from your gallery. That's how it works on my Android. I would love to see your pics :) - GodOfWine465.5 #262 4-8-12 9:41PMLike(1) Reply
How does park closing time work with the rides. I know the park closes at 12am, but what happens to those still in line for certain rides when DL closes. Do you get to ride if you are in line? My guess would be that you do. Any insight?
Your guess is right! :) If you're in line, you get to ride. Then you better get your bootay out so the hard-working CMs can go home! Have fun! - BreadAndButterfly505.3 #234 4-6-12 6:46PMLike Reply
