I need to share: When I worked as a nurse at Disneyland, there was a lady who brought her autistic grandson, six year old, to the park three or four days a week though the winter. They didn't want to deal with crowds but needed some stimulation and social interaction. Anyway, they would almost always come to see us in First Aid on their way in to the park. The little boy never looked up, wouldn't smile, didn't talk...but bit by bit, he came out of his shell and in a few months he was so excited to see us, he gave us hugs, told us he was "GOIN' TO DUMBO!!" and was all smiles. Tiggertwin has a lot of knowledge on food allergies at DL. Try looking at some of her old posts. I know the chefs are really great at working with you at the restaurants. The Watch Disney apps are awesome! My kids love them and they're free!!

If you want something similar to The Grand, book the wilderness lodge. I have stayed there and loved it. It's close to the Magic Kingdom. You can take a ferry ride to the Magic Kingdom but everything else was accessed by bus. Even so. The busses were on time and the pool was amazing.
