Pin trading is the best!!! Strawberryguy is the resident pin trading guru. I highly recommend getting his book on spotting a fake. Just FYI as well, many, if not most, pins bought in lots on eBay a fraudulent. Hopefully starwberry's book will help you determine which are scrappers and which are keepers/traders.
