For the Mickey's Halloween Party veterans - how nonrealistic does a toy weapon have to be to be allowed on a costume?
I have a gun similar to this http://media.photobucket.com/image/recent/chrylper/MiniAK47-2.jpg but there is actually More...
Toy makers are actually required to use fluorescent orange or yellow on their toy guns. It's always on the tip of the barrel of the gun. This is to make it easier for law enforcement to identify a fake gun, and reduce accidental shootings. I got this info from a friend that handles real and fake firearms for the movie industry. - ScooterMike1959.8 #37 10-4-12 11:01AMLike(3) Reply
I know, but is it enough for Disney, or do they only allow rayguns? - Romans5Three 3.6 #16739 10-4-12 11:07AM

If it's so questionable, why bother with it? I'm not saying to take or don't take it but will it make or break your costume? - firemomof2128.4 #2650 10-4-12 11:10AMLike Reply
To me, it's not questionable, but I don't know how Disney is.
I feel like it makes the costume. Before I found this, I was thinking of using a watergun, which i would think would be less acceptable since I could squirt people.
I think it will be fine, but it'd be a hassle to go back to the car so I want to be sure. Thanks. - Romans5Three 3.6 #16739 10-4-12 11:16AM
I think there's lockers outside the gates by guest services. If they say no, put it in there. Therefore, you won't have to go back to the car. - firemomof2 128.4 #2650 10-4-12 11:21AM
UPDATE: all was well. No problems either bringing it in or playing with it in the park. - Romans5Three3.6 #16739 10-17-12 1:57PMLike Reply
