I love watching him hang out near the Matterhorn, sitting on the rail, just watching the world go by. A lot of people walk right by and don't even notice. - Thumper13199.9 #1675 6-9-13 8:44PMLike(1) Reply
My three-year-old daughter is in the muddle of a huge Wendy Darling obsession and trashy wants to find her when we go tomorrow. What is our best bet for finding Wendy?
Is trashy a cute lil nickname for her or did you have an unfortunate auto correct? - Linzee533.2 #219 6-8-13 8:17PMLike(2) Reply

My 35th birthday gift to myself: Storytellers with the family! It's always so fun. We did a little hokey pokey, if you're happy and you know it and follow the leader too! I recommend it to all who are young at heart!
Love that you did that!! Great picture! Happy Birthday! - carminaire56.2 #3680 6-6-13 4:55PMLike(1) Reply
Awkward family photo from earlier today! This was seriously the best we could do! Haha.
I like these kind of pictures because they're real life captured in a photo. Posed pictures aren't as fun. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper344.0 #437 4-19-13 5:26PMLike(2) Reply
Throwback Thursday: my favorite birthday ever (2009) with my one year old Sean and Chef Oscar coming out to check on his devoured, monstrous pancake. I had no idea Oscar was a Disneyland legend till this year.
I wonder if Oscar was giving Sean some of his playa secrets, he's quite the ladies man. 😂. Very cute picture👍 - Linzee533.2 #219 4-18-13 4:24PMLike(1) Reply
Hold on to this pic. It will be a neat one to have and tell the mini who Oscar was when he is older - dimplesdanie607.7 #183 4-18-13 8:53PMLike(1) Reply

He used to host a show called Blind Date, and I think is now a sports radio announcer for the Angels. But he actually was John Stamos roommate for over 10 years. :) - Willierose 1235.0 #66 4-15-13 1:01PM
Here's a little collage from or trip today. We finally met Merida and the kids rowed us all the way around Tom Sawyer's Island, but mainly we just tried to avoid the long lines! It was a fun day!
looks like a fun day, great collage! Adorable kiddos! :) - Duchess_SMK3516.6 #10 2-3-13 10:16PMLike Reply
The artwork at Minnie's house. I had no idea she was such a Fantasia fan! My question is, does anyone remember the bunny cartoon (I do not)?
Cool! I need to do this still! We usually avoid toon town... - PrincessDaisy161.7 #2168 2-3-13 4:55PMLike Reply

Already re-routing to hotel and dtd parking areas; they won't let us into Mickey and friends. (Sorry the picture is sort of bad with my visit still down, i was really fumbling for it!)
We saw so many characters wandering around today without even looking for them. The highlight was Jack Skellington coming up to my kids and me and congratulating me on my "two-headed monster" (they were in a double stroller under blanket More...
Misseeyore, we were not there for very long and did not seek out any characters. We came across some classics & random characters outside of Big Thunder Ranch: Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Pluto, Rafiki, Mary Poppin's penguin. Then we saw Brer Bear and Brer Fox looking lonely in front of Splash Mountain. Saw Mickey and Minnie at the 3 Kings festival area. Jack Skellington ran into us when we had just taken a picture at the NOS staircase (Court of Angels). Then we went to the parade and saw everyone else. We also peeked at Mulan and Cinderella at the Fantasy Fair, Merida, and Pooh Corner characters at those photo opp areas. My kids still are soooo scared of Rafiki! But they keep talking about Jack, even though we're home now. - brigeet283.4 #725 1-6-13 8:10PMLike Reply
Thanks for the response. Nice to know your kids had a good time. Sounds like you had a day filled with Disney magic! - misseeyore 509.3 #234 1-6-13 8:54PM
I am not mentally preparing to go back to school and teach tomorrow! (photo from an hour ago)
Thank you for all you do! Now, more than ever, kids need good instructors and strong role models. And those DL trips don't pay for themselves, lol. It's hard to go back, I'm sure, but look forward to the next trip and know that with each passing day, you ARE providing children with stability and making a difference in our crazy, mixed up world :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar439.0 #289 1-6-13 5:46PMLike(5) Reply
Thank you, Spoonful_O_Sugar. That's some good perspective there! I do love my amazing job and my 800 students (I teach elementary music). The hard thing is leaving my own 2- and 4-year-old to be with other people's kids. That's the one thing that I can never wrap my brain around, and the thought I don't like to face... I do have a really cool story about providing the stability a little girl needed (through our school orchestra) when her father was in jail this past December. Just the thought of it lifts me up. - brigeet 283.4 #725 1-6-13 8:17PM
It feels like it's been months since the last time I was in my classroom, but it's only been two weeks. That must mean I've had a restful Winter Break. Here's to an easy transition back into doing what we love, and just think! Only two weeks of work until our next (mini) break (MLK, Jr. Day). That'll be my next chance to escape to the parks because my brothers will have Mom Duty then! :) - susieQzee486.6 #251 1-6-13 9:51PMLike Reply
Just a heads up, they're not letting us into Mickey and Friends again right now, only letting in oversized and handicapped. Tried to enter from Katella. Slowly headed to Simba.
This was the second set of Dancing with Disney that we went to today. It was mostly villains so we didn't stay long since Baloo was the only character my kids weren't afraid of. the characters are on stage at the beginning and end of each More...
We visited Dancing With Disney for the first time today! My daughter got to dance with her favorite "princess kitty" Marie, and neither kid wanted to leave!
I'm so glad they are continuing this - Linzee533.2 #219 1-1-13 4:02PMLike Reply
Just arriving off Harbor Blvd and not allowed to park at Mickey and friends and redirected to Downtown Disney parking lot near Paradise Pier.

Just out of curiosity, are they charging for parking in the Simba lot today? Most of the time there's nobody at the toll booth on the way out and I get to park for free :P - JRDrummer_CM793.0 #123 1-1-13 10:24AMLike Reply

I don't like their salads anymore. They have become really oily without many quality ingredients. Their original salads from when they first opened were great. I did a search and found they had rice pasta too. I will have to ask about that next time. But I love a decent GF pizza, when I can find it. - brigeet283.4 #725 11-3-12 9:10PMLike Reply

So do Tink and Dumbo fly during the fireworks currently? We went at night for the first time in five years and no flying Disney characters. We showed our kids the flying on YouTube the next day.
Dumbo and Tink usually fly during Magical fireworks and Tinkebell flies during Remember fireworks :) Sometimes there's weather issues or technical difficulties that may cause them to not fly every time though. - SarahJoshDisney69.6 #3463 8-22-12 2:44PMLike(1) Reply
