Just saw on the news down here in San Diego that the fireworks were supposed to start back up again tonight. Anyone in the parks heard anything? Sorry if someone already posted about this- just trying to help! 😊
Thanks sue!! It's okay, I think it's all pretty entertaining- although some of the drama that I've seen go down in the lounge over the past 2 years made me somewhat hesitant to post but I've stuck around and am just glad now that I'm making more of an effort to get involved. Hopefully all my time spent observing makes me better prepared for what's to come! - DisneyLuvinMama211.6 #1458 12-30-11 1:54PMLike Reply
Fireworks will be cancelled until further notice. This carries onto future days.
Just talked to DLand on phone and they said it was strictly wind related for cancellation of the fireworks. But they are scheduled for tonight and with the weather in the low to mid 70's for the next few days, should be good to go. - starleet59.5 #3573 12-24-11 9:58AMLike(4) Reply
WhOmever you spoke to probably didn't know what happened or was told to say that since its a well-known explanation for cancellations. - bluefairy627.0 #173 12-24-11 4:37PMLike Reply
Was that post a couple of days ago? I heard sirens shortly after the fireworks and got worried the last time I was there... but I think that was last Saturday. - Chris_E25.6 #4603 12-24-11 4:42PMLike Reply
Did they change the requirements for a GAC (Guest Assistance Card) card? We are taking my older uncle with Downs Syndrome in a wheelchair and he has problems with his immune system. They had no prob last year but I remember someone sayin More...

Yes, they did change the requirements? He is capable of walking but tires walking from attraction to attraction (thus the wc) and he gets pneumonia really easy. Do we need a md note for the GAC? He LIVES for DL. (thanks for the comp GJ). - Polkadobo372.1 #369 6-6-11 8:34AMLike Reply
Just save the old one and take it with you every time. They will just ask if you have the same concerns and give you a new one. - Mrsblue692.4 #143 6-7-11 1:00AMLike Reply
Oh, did not know this either. I pray he survives next winter's round of viruses and aspiration pneumonia and makes it to the park when the weather is warm again. He had a wonderful time today with his grand niece and nephew. - Polkadobo372.1 #369 6-7-11 1:16AMLike Reply
