This reminds me of the time that SIC would not meet anyone for the longest time but would post things in the lounge about things she would see MouseWaiters doing in the park such as me singing the wonderful world of bubbles and playing with my bubble gun waiting for WOC...The first time that anyone ever had an encounter with the fishy fish was at the first year that MW participated in the Gumball Rally where she was in line right behind the MW team and her husband gave up her identity and even she would not take a picture with them. Then several months later the same group of MWers including some others thought that they saw her in the park and started following her and approached her and asked her if she was SIC and she started talking in an English accent and said no that she had no clue what they were talking about. Several months later she agreed to meetup and I did and we talked but what she did not know that I had 6 other MouseWaiters waiting to finnaly meet her as well. So I said, lets go on Haunted Mansion and once we got into the Elevator they all pooped up and started introducing themselves to her. Then came our second plan. Lets get her on TOT so that way we could get a picture of her on the ride and finally post a pic of her in the lounge and we did just that.now you cant go a week without seeing a pic of her in the lounge..After the initial fright of all of us scary people she really came out of her shell and even started hosting her own meetups and still being an active member in the lounge for 3 years...Congrats on your 3 years and thanks for being a good sport and friend over the years. - Dave 8630.6 #2 4-5-13 1:04PMLike(13) Reply

Three years ago today MouseWait was approved by Apple and made its debut in the App Store! Several weeks before that, we went to Disneyland to test the app, and I remember sitting in the lobby of the Grand watching as the test wait times More...
Its crazy to think that its been 3 years. It honestly feels a lot longer..Its amazing at how big the community has gotten since the very first meetup..The life long friendships, the dreams that have come true, and the laughter that we all have in the parks on a daily basis.Its so neat to see all these meetups on a daily basis that get up to 80 people and happen not only at the parks but all over the state of California..Its pretty crazy to think that none of us would probably have ever met if it were not for this app...There are not many of us from the beginning who still actively post on MouseWait or attend meetups but I know that each and everyone of them is extremely grateful for the people who have been brought into their lives because of this app....I know some people might get annoyed at times by people posting in the lounge and their countdowns to the park, what is your favorite ride, etc etc but you have to remember, you were once that new kid on the block that was just as excited to post in the lounge and join in on the fun and not read the FAQ....I look forward this weekend seeing old friends and meeting new ones and finally getting the chance to meet some of you that I've seen in the lounge for sometime but never had the chance to meet in person....Hope everyone has a fun a weekend!!! Thanks to Mousewait: I think leggings and uggs are a viable fashion choice, I tried (and failed) to eat a Matterhorn sundae by myself, I know who Denny Hamlin is, I know where all the bars are in the resort, I've had many sleepless nights and a phone fall on my face more than once, I know about penny wise and honey badgers and Rebecca black and gangnam style and hidin yo kids, I witnessed a banana peeled, I own vinylmations and pins and earhats and about $1000 worth of crap from company d. Yeah, thanks. 😏 Actually, I have a lot to thank MW for: late night craft frenzies, staying up all night talking in our hotel rooms, going to WDW with people I barely knew 6 months, realizing that we know everyone on our floor, pizza parties, group texts, squeezing 40 people on a jungle cruise boat and making the skipper laugh too hard to spiel, going to gay days and bats day and dapper day and Harry potter day, answering "80" when the cm asks "how many?" and then watching them panic, reading about the MW babies being born and watching them grow up and finally being tall enough to ride the big kid rides, skipping down main street arm in arm like a bunch of doofuses, ☔ on pirates, dressing up like plaids and getting a talking to by security, meat babies, laying on the ground to watch fireworks, having someone text "are you home safely?" at 2am, and always being there for you, even when life sucks. *re-assembling self a-la T2 after being blown away by your awesomeness* it’s a good thing david and i were shooting a wedding yesterday when we read this. our teary faces blended right in with everyone else at the wedding :) we are so so happy for your ohana! david just made those necklaces for a little something fun. we had no idea they would be any part of such an amazing family moment. being at disneyland is awesome. (stipulated). being at disneyland with someone on their 1st visit is pretty rad, but there’s nothing quite like being there with a family member on their 1st visit. it’s a precious thing. sadly, after losing my dad to cancer last year, we will never get another family disney day with him :_( we treasure every trip we got to take with him. but enough of the sad faces. it’s happy time for swiss family churinson! senorita churita, your comments and posts always make us giggle. your tot avi is still our all time fav! hopefully we’ll get to meet you someday. if/when we do, we’ll treat you to an awesome dole whip...no, wait...a turkey leg... nope. what was it? think mcfly, think. oh yeah... a churro! :)
